The reason Elvis isn't given so much credit for his 70's recording is because critics rubbisheverything that he did after the Army for poltiical reasons. None of them have sat down and listened to any of this stuff with an open ear or mind. Its all about putting Elvis in a category and labelling him. To the critics Elvis was about the 50s and Rock n Roll which this sure as hell ain't. But we all know he was much more than that. Its only the critics who have peas for brains. Elvis could colour any song with his genius for singing and when he was given a beauty like this he really knew how to breath life into it.
