Ryan MinorIt's hard to believe that "The King" hated making these films as bad as he did because they are so timeless.~~~~~~~~~~~He didn't, not at first, and certainly not in 1962. Even a couple years later movies like 'Blue Hawaii' & 'Viva Las Vegas!' would turn out to be a couple of his favorites. But, yes, eventually the scripts got weaker, they became more of a chore. He was a performer, and performers enjoy and feed off of human contact, feedback, if you will. He even remarked that too many scenes, like the one which had him singin' to a bunch of dogs, began to wear on him. He'd had enough. So the schedule was pared down, and in 1968, he appeared with his own TV special. (Music Intro) "If you're lookin' for trouble..."
