ELO performs Laredo Tornado from the album Eldorado live in 1974. I obtained the audio from a separate source than the video. I restored, remastered and created a stereo soundtrack from the mono audio. Hope you enjoy this version.

The "MC" (!) "Whispering" Bob Harris was famed for his, er "laid back" manner. This was the early Seventies, don't forget, when it was the norm to be so laid back you were horizontal. Bob championed great music on British TV when no-one, but no-one else was doing it, and he absolutely LOVED music, despite his chilled demeanour! He still presents radio shows on UK radio.

I get chills when Kelly comes in at 1:42…"what can you do when your dream word is gone"…his voice stayed pitch perfect for his entire life, and it's almost impossible to discern 1974 from 2008. Great job on a deep, deep album cut.

Kelly had to take "Kelly" after he joined ELO because the group already had Mike DeA, Mike Edwards, and Mik Kaminski!

This alone should have been a reason to for this group to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

Excellent stuff. This is really solid playing, and the voice is spot-on. Pity there aren't any better sounding archives of vintage stuff like this - I mean, in a live setting; I'm sure it would help reinforce such a legacy with newer generations.

Great performance from these guys! Once again, we see Jeff performing without his trademark sunglasses.....

I can attest to that! I saw the Out of The Blue tour in Toronto and at least 20 songs are missing from the dvd Live at Wembley.. Where did you get the bootleg and can I get it from you please.

I just listened to this album tonight on my Dual turntable and Marantz receiver. Eldorado is one of my favorite albums. For me it is a package. It is best to listen to it from start to finish (with just a short break in the middle to flip the record over).

@elofan67 Rolling Stone is not Jesus Christ, though Jann Wenner thinks it (he) is. When a magazine puts Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga and other non-rock acts on the cover, and they continue to slag heavy metal (unless it's Metalllica) and prog (unless it's Genesis), then they are not a real rock and roll magazine. I've said it before, the only great thing or person to come out of Rolling Stone was Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman. After Thompson offed himself, RS lost any street cred it had
