"Nothing can be released without Jeff Lynne's approval but there currently is a proposal for a 2-CD Deluxe Collectors Edition of Secret Messages which includes the original unreleased 2-LP version (including "Beatles Forever"), the released 1-LP version and more. Must have been business as usual as most of ELO's material was based on Beatles songs anyway..and im being nice...as a musician I started comparing ELO songs with Beatles...Mr Blue Sky/Horice Wimp....A Day in the Life...Check it out, chord wise...Roy Wood did say his vision of ELO was based on 'I am the the walrus' and that era of the Beatles..and at the end of the day, ELO was Roy Woods vision, and without his vision...we wouldn't have.......ELO

but why doesn't Jeff want to release it... For Christ sake... This version runs now on the net for 13 years, and I know it better than others ELO's songs... It is released anyway, so why doesn't Jeff release SECRET MESSAGES as he wanted the album to be at first, And fucking finally release this song in good quality... just explain me WHY?????

Did you not know that The Beatles heavily influenced Jeff's musical style? Didn't you know that John Winston Lennon himself gave ELO the nickname "Son of the Beatles"? The only thing bad about this song is the sound quality as this was recorded during a press conference. There is absolutely nothing wrong with paying homage to the band that influenced ELO.....especially since it's obvious in every song in ELO's library, whether they're mentioned or not.
