A major influence in the popularity of blues / rock which came later. Even the early white boy folkies cite the earlier blues greats like Elmore, Broonzy, & Robert Johnson as inspirational. John Mayall's 60's British blues bands concentrated the talent to eventually acknowledge the inspiration of the legends like Mr Elmore James !

The Sue record is different from the one I have, which is VeeJay 259. The VeeJay version has a saxophone, and the piano isn't as "up front". It was one of the first "hard-core" blues record I bought (Nov. 1957--at a discount because I worked in the local music store then) and led me to buy one of his older records: "I Believe" about a year later.
