@NickEmpel : there are always people who need something to be negative about... Nina is amazing and so is Ellen: they are both unique in their performance and great singers. You are totally right: she is paying tribute tribute to Nina in her own way, not doing some desperate attempt to copy her.

The negative reactions here make me kind of sad! Ellen tried to show a piece of her Nina Hagen, and she knows it is nowhere near the real Nina. In stead of what people think: that she is making fun of Nina; she is not! She is making fun of herself!

Ik vind het een leuke versie. De big-band doet het heel anders dan Spliff, en geeft het nummer daarmee iets nieuws. Ellen is een prima performer; ze maakt er wat van.

Ik vind Nina Hagen geweldig, maar Ellen ten Damme doet het op haar manier geweldig. Goeie band en gewoon een eigen draai eraan gegeven. Men moet niet vergelijken, maar gewoon proberen om het los van elkaar te waarderen. Ik vind het in ieder geval goed.

Het orkestje is inderdaad slapjes, onvergelijkbaar met de Nina Hagen Band. Ik vind dat Ellen het trouwens heel goed doet. Ondanks dat ze niet écht gek is, zoals Nina.
