Elian Gedeon with her former formation 'Wet Cross':
music & lyrics written by Elian Gedeon:
The song is Not about material possessions. It's about going down into your own subconscious or 'underworld'. In a shamanic experience a person descends into the underworld 'through a hole in the ground' as well. It's about leaving someone and trying to figure out later if you did the right thing. The wounds are not real either, they're the fruits of 'heartbreak' so to speak. Stuff is meant metaphorically here. Don't pass judgement on the artist for it, it's poetry, not a confession.
I go down to the Underworld
I go down where the Roses bleed
I go down where I lost everything..
I go down where we first met
Please baby oh, don't you make me weep
I go down where I should not speak
to my baby yeah...
Left the night to live in bloom
Now I miss my glowing moon
Have forsaken cruel rooms
Live outside to eat my wounds
I go down because they hurt me too
But everything hurts & I feel you
I go down..can you feel me too?
You're my babe yeah...
Left the night to live in bloom
Now I miss my glowing moon
Have forsaken cruel rooms
Live outside to eat my wounds
