That's weird, because this was the first piece I heard by Elend. It astonished me greatly, and I went and listened to every album. I was upset to learn that they had ceased recording, but their retiring of the Elend banner makes these tracks that bit more powerful. I've always been partial to the idea that works are more concentrated after their creator has departed. You experience things differently when you know that they can never be reproduced. The emotion is so intense. Surrender to it!
