The cover is good, and if it were the original, I would probably expect it to be a pretty good hit. However, I think that it would be incredibly difficult to match the standards that The Beatles set for this song.

.....do you even know what "cover" means? Sure you could play the song EXACTLY how it was meant but people cover songs that mean something to them. Rather than playing the same song the same way, they make it their own because each song in this world holds a different meaning to each and ever person. Personally I think they did a fucking amazing job with this song. It always hits me so deeply in my heart every single time. This song is so powerful and beautiful.

The those high falsetto bends in the chorus were genius. The whole point of covering a song is to put your own creative spin on it. If Thrice had made a carbon copy of the Beatles original, it wouldn't have been nearly as interesting.

I don't like the Beatles. I don't hate them, but I don't like them, and until recently, I was also heavily criticized for it. Of course, I tend to hate covers, so I will still prefer the original. That said, this is still a good version, and Thrice will always be an amazing band.

This version's okay, but it's not my favorite. It feels a bit too raw to me, but I'm sure it resonates well for others.
