a) the quality of a video shouldn't make or break a band. a band makes music. that's to be heard, not seen. b) look up who edie brickell is, and you'll see she did no fizzling. she simply didn't need to "make it" as a band to live a good life. c) blind melon and edie brickell have a few similarities musically, but there are big, huge differences, one of them being heroin.

Yeah, well most videos were like that. There were a lot of artists who are embarrassed by their old videos, because typically, the director had some crazy visual idea he wanted to put on the screen, and said "Trust me, it'll look great when you see it on MTV", and of course, more often than not, it didn't. (shrug)
