Artist Biography: Edge is a rock band from Bologna (Italy) formed in 2013. The band is composed by Alessio Grancini (vocals), Francesco Colonnese (lead guitar and backing vocals), Andrea De Crescenzo (bass guitar) and Alex Regoli (drums). The band was founded in February 2013 when Francesco discovered an announcement by the future singer on a music social platform website, calling him for an audition. Francesco and the other members of the band were already playing together.

The name "Edge" can be defined as the obstacles that anyone can find in daily life. Our song lyrics show how it can be possible to go beyond these limits. Other main themes of our songs are life, love, pain, ideals. Our first album ("Pain") was released in June 2014. It is made up of five songs and it takes its name from the third track "Pain". In June Pain's music video was also published, directed by Tommy Antonini.

Our style can be defined as "melodic hard rock". We took inspiration from some foreign music experiences, such as Alter Bridge, Shinedown and similars. Anyway, we wanted to find a personal style, and in order to achieve it , we spent about one year in composing songs and arranging them.

About The Video: The themes of Pain's videoclip are rape and violence. In fact, this song was composed after we heard that a girl had been raped in a car wrecking and then died. In this video we wanted the girl to come back to life: she wants revenge against her aggressor, so she starts searching for him. Yet, she is a ghost, so he is not able to see her and he falls after a "ghost fight". She decides not to kill him, but to show him how he had no possibility to defend himself, in the same way as it had happened while she was violated.
