On this day in 1978 {August 12th} Eddie Rabbit's "You Don't Love Me Anymore" reached #1 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart... Two months earlier on June 24th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #53 and spent 7 weeks on the Top 100... It reached #3 on the Canadian Country Tracks chart... Sadly; Eddie Rabbit passed away on May 7th 1998 at the young age of 56 {cancer} May he R.I.P.
