I met Eddie Davis at Bourbon Street in Toronto back around 1981. I asked him for some pointers on playing the horn and he put his hand on my arm and told me a whole bunch of stuff and encouraged me to play, and to this day when i feel like giving it up I think of him, the Great Eddie Lockjaw Davis. Thank you Mr. Davis where ever you are.
