"Thinking Out Loud" is a song by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. It features production from frequent collaborator Jake Gosling. The song was released as an "instant grat" digital download to the iTunes Store on 18 June 2014, serving as a promotional single from his second studio album x (2014).

The song entered the UK Singles Chart at number 26 upon release of the album, and finally peaked at number one in early November 2014, giving Sheeran his second UK number-one single. "Thinking Out Loud" impacted Australian radio on 14 August 2014, and was released as the third single off x, the second track to go to number one from the album.

The song has also reached the top spot in Ireland, New Zealand, Denmark, and the Netherlands, and is also Sheeran's highest charting US single to date, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.
