I can't help but love the moment "Fingers" Felder gave Randy victory fingers right after Randy finished his perfect performance and this baby-faced guy with a nod gave Don back those fingers.

Eagles performed "Take It To The Limit" on the Hotel California tour, March 21, 1977; at The Capital Centre, Largo, MD.

"You can spend all your time making money or you can spend all your love making time." What the heck does that mean? I get the first part, but...

Take it to the Limit is my absolute favorite vocal performance on any record. This performance is awesome. I saw them during this period and sadly, Randy was not quite up to it that night. He skipped some of those notes at the end, but I'll tell ya it still sent chills up a 20 year old's spine. If you watch the history of the Eagle, you can witness what a couple of douche bags Henley and Frey become over this issue. Neither of them can sing those notes.

Miss Le, you have excellent eyesight. I never noticed before the hand signals that passed between Felder and Randy; that was a sweet moment.

Just watched the documentary about them on Netflix. Never bought an album of theirs but I realized two things. First, I love absolutely every single they ever released. Second, I had no idea who was in the band besides Frey & Henley. (I knew Joe Walsh was sort of involved but I almost thought he was a guest.) The fact that they four other guys, two bass players & two other guitarists, all super talented over the years, and that all of them wrote at least one hit, (did the old bald guy write one? hmmm) this was such a surprise to me. And the fact that they STILL sounded like the same band no matter which combo of these 8 people were on-stage is amazing to me. And the fact that they're live perfomances were kind of boring (except for walsh) but mezmerizing none the less is an eye opener too. And the fact that Don Henley seems like a total douche bag but still wrote great songs, with the Eagles & solo is depressing but enlightening. Or that Don Henlely still looks like that guy from Quantum Leap but also writes & sings great. On & on the strangeness leads me to one conclusion. The Eagles are perfectly crafted classic-rock robots from the future designed by other future robots to move us every time they play. Wonderful. Robotic. Boring. Exciting. Strangest band ever. I love them.

Wonderful performance, I loved this song in my sophomore year of high school... "Take It To The Limit"All alone at the end of the of the eveningAnd the bright lights have faded to blueI was thinking 'bout a woman who might haveLoved me and I never knewYou know I've always been a dreamer(spent my life running 'round)And it's so hard to change(Can't seem to settle down)But the dreams I've seen latelyKeep on turning out and burning outAnd turning out the sameSo put me on a highwayAnd show me a signAnd take it to the limit one more timeYou can spend all your time making moneyYou can spend all your love making timeIf it all fell to pieces tomorrowWould you still be mine? And when you're looking for your freedom(Nobody seems to care)And you can't find the door(Can't find it anywhere)When there's nothing to believe inStill you're coming back, you're running backYou're coming back for moreSo put me on a highwayAnd show me a signAnd take it to the limit one more timeTake it to the limitTake it to the limitTake it to the limit one more time

The opening intro is very similar to Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes' "If You Don't Know Me Right Now".
