In Randy's defense.....He was ill and Left the band, he wasn't fired!

It's really a 4-part vocal harmony, but three lead singers sharing verses....

I had no idea this was an old song, thought it was written for the long road out of eden album.

I can't understand people saying that the Eagles were boring onstage.

The eagles were correct to have Glen sing less and less, but they screwed up by silencing Randy and Joe.

Great song, great vocals. Can anyone upload whole song of Linda Ronstadt singing Hank Williams Song with Glen and Don in background.

Love Randy's vocals. Glen and Don make the Eagles the greatest band ever!

I prefer this raw, gritty version to the later over produced studio version but that's just me.

Wow, awesome song and what a gem to have this film footage with solid sound too. Love the "realness" of the music.

Always liked the Eagles older more Country/Western stuff. JD Souther the great underrated singer and songwrtiter.

This is 100 times better than that smoothed over sand papered new version. The vocals on this are a lot more inspired, especially toward the end

I'm gonna come to Don and Glenn's defense on this one and put this thing in their perspective. They are both obviously businessmen first and musicians second. They were and still are perfectionists and trying to put out the best money making product possible. In the 70's they was like two machines who worked their ass off to create the best band possible and they expected every member to work their ass off also and do their part. It's not always for the faint of heart. If the fans wanted to hear Take it to the Limit then that's what Frey and Henley wanted to give the fans. You don't show up at your job and tell your boss you don't feel like working today. Randy didn't live up to the expectations of the business so he got booted. It's obvious to me now that Frey and Henley would make a business decision and Frey would act as the drill sergeant and stay on the asses of the other members. You are either with them or against them.Their goal was not to make best friends and buddies in a folk band playing acoustic guitar around a camp fire and you sing and play when you feel like it .The goal was to produce a money making machine. They finally wore out and tired out themselves from the pace they set
