I remember the day it came out. Magic. I saw them live. What a blast to dance to--and that kick-ass Fairlight CMI Nick Rhodes kicked it out with--everything sounded incredibly modern and brand new. And it stands up--because these were musicians first and foremost, who wrote unforgettable songs, thought of dizzyingly complex arrangements, and insisted on pristine production. Every song on Seven and the Ragged Tiger ROCKS--and it still feels weird to hear them out of sequence. I was so damn lucky...

Nick Rhodes (nacido como Nicholas James Bates el 8 de junio de 1962 en West Midlands, Inglaterra) es el tecladista de la banda New Romantic Duran Duran.Nick es el único miembro de la banda que está desde su fundación en 1978, en carácter permanente. También ha lanzado álbumes con Arcadia en 1985 (un proyecto alterno a Duran Duran) y con The Devils, en 2002, con Stephen Duffy.La banda logró un éxito rápido, y Rhodes fue una fuerza impulsora en todo. Un músico no escolarizado, experimentó con los sonidos de sus sintetizadores analógicos eran capaces de hacer, pero evitó la "novedad" sonidos de algunas bandas de sintetizador otros de los primeros.
