On a cold, desolate night bathed in the passing storm, I found myself afraid of the dark. Once again, I was the only one awake- lost in my mind, when I could plug in my music. I didn't have to pretend to be ok, I could break down finally. But there was the door in front of me, with bitter, cold coffee yearning for the warmth of someone's hand. So against my childish fear I got up, weaving in and out of the mess of wires and gadgets. As I approached the door, a grave voice in the back of my head warned; "Once you open that door, you don't know what may lay in wait. You may never be able to un-see what's on the other side..." so I paused, gave it some thought, and told the voice; "First, help me un-see the horror I was born into. Then we'll work on my imagination." And the voice fell silent, and I opened the door... and what was on the other side scared me more than my imagination ever could: nothing.
