Joe, I really haven't any idea of the worth of the 33 you picked up. I've never followed the value of these vinyl recordings. For a long time CD's chased them from the landscape but I understand that the mellowness and full depth of the vinyl recordings was missing from the CD's and now the vinyl is back in vogue; so you may have picked up a recording that's worth something. I don't need it, I have it from way back when it first came out. Vinyl was easy for DJ's to cue up and segue.

hey...i just picked up a vinyl of walter schumann's called "romance in the air" I was thinking this thing is pretty old and must be quite rare...any idea what it might be worth? its an old 33 1/3 speed vinyl from 1952. any help would be great! thank you

I think Johnny Mercer, unusually, wrote both music and lyrics, as he did with "Somethings Gotta Give."

Dream, written in 1944, made the Hit Parade in 1945 and was used in number of movies. The song was part of my youth and was one of those songs that you loved to hear when dancing, so holding your date cheek to cheek and tightly really fit the mood cast by the song. There were many such songs then, what a grand time to grow up. I'm in my 80's now and look back fondly on this music and praise the Lord for my Bride of 59 years who experienced this age with me.
