LOL Yes i know that but in Australia they a recognise as an Australian band. Australia has more singers and actors than you can think of than Russell Crowe. Techno wont sound good, this is perfect.

In fact they were born in New Zealand and started the band called Dragon IN Auckland New Zealand in Jan 1972 and then they relocated to Sidney in May 1975. ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) admits in their Hall Of Fame that they ARE a New Zealand Band. (PS you can keep Russell Crowe!) It is about time some of their stuff was techno remixed or Dub stepped!

i from australia love dragon and understand that we cant claim them entirely. i appreciate all that NZ gave to australian music. however i prefer to call them our talents because we are so intwined countries, brothers and sisters from across the Tasman

So's Richard Wilkins, the megafamous 'Australian' TV 'personality'. He's a Kiwi. In the early 80's he played around Sydney as 'Richard Wilde' (I've still got a gig poster) with The Richard Wilde Band and Wilde and Reckless. Thank christ he went into TV. Everyone (who loves music) in Australia loves Dragon, Crowded House, and Split Enz . Aussie don't claim them as our own, but they lived here and most certainly were affected by the experience. They were born in Kiwi and came to light in Aussie.

Hummm they never mention about the Dragon background, all i through they were Australians. At that time their were so many good bands in Australia in the 80's.

Sorry dude, but you need to do your homework a little more. They may live on Aussie, but tyhey bere born - nd began "Dragon" in Nwe Zealand. Ditto for Split Enz. Wiki them and you'll see I'm completely right. :-)

You guys all need to do more research. Both Dragon AND Split Enz are KIWI bands, living in Aus. The opportunities are simply greater over there, so they relocated. BUT they all started in lil ol' NZ. See Wikipedia for Marc_Hunter. And the Finn brothers; Tim and Neil, were born and raised in Te Awamutu, in the Waikato. You'll find them on Wkikpedia too.
