This is really cool. I was always confused about the whole beck remix thing. For awhile I thought it meant the song on the album was a remix of a beck song. Now it all makes sense.

I'll be honest, I really like this remix, but only because this is the remix that played on Beck's site that first introduced me to the musical awesomeness that is Dr. Dog :)

People are just crapping on the remix because they heard the original first, and have an expectation of what it should sound like. Give Beck some credit for taking a song and making an entirely new experience out of it!

this isnt a remix. its a cut-up, context-destroying, melody/tempo/harmony butcher.

i love both songs. i think the dr. dog song is fantasic! but i also think the remix is great too. they're just different sounding songs.
