One time a friend of mine(he is dead now) called me over, for what ever reason. I walked into the crash pad and saw an empty living room with about 15 tecatos zoned out on heroin. I spent time there, about 5 minutes, then I left, and sober, as I have never used.But what left an impression on me were all of the strung out addicts there. There were no couches, they were all just sitting on the floor laying against the wall, none noticing or reacting to the entrance of a stranger(me). I wondered who they all were, and how all of these men and woman came to be in such a fucked up place.My position then was just to leave them alone and let them figure it out. Today I see it that either they were living the life that they wanted to live or makes them happy, or they had a problem and could use some help. At no time did I ever see there use to be a crime. It's either a life's choice or a medical condition, not something to be jailed for.#addiction #warondrugs

I know the song is about heroin but everyone has to learn from there own mistakes. This is one of Anselmo's most down to earth songs. Along with Cemetery Gates, Suicide Note, Hollow and Floods.
