I blogged and blogged the Doobie Brothers in 2012 and asked them to bring this song " ROAD ANGEL" back into their 2013 concert tour along with " FANDANGO" and " EYES OF SILVER" and they listened and all three songs are back!! They were so kind to give me back stage passes at Red Rocks, Colorado with their concert with Steve Miller Band. I almost died..lol.It was so amazing!!10 years назад

There is no doubt that this song is the anthem of the Doobie Brothers. When you break it down--lyrically and musically--it just so captures the essence of being "on the road." No worries, paved highway and the great USA in front of you, music blasting, motorcycles, ladies, wine and whisky and a little mischief--is there any better Americana anthem to this day? They actually DID this song when I saw them the other night in Red Wing, MN! Tommy had to start the tough opening lick a second time but the song absolutely rocked. At the end, Patrick said that they hadn't done Road Angel live in "like 20 years..so thanks for being our guinea pigs.." What a treat. Too bad Big Mike was not on the drum kit. RIP11 years назад
