This hits me right in the childhood. I was raised to appreciate his, George Strait's, Clint Black's, and many other artists that were very popular in the late 80's- early 90's (and some that are still quite popular today). I've got to admit that I don't listen to many of the new country stuff because it just doesn't seem to get much better than that era in my opinion. Maybe it's just because of the fond memories of my childhood.
