This clip is from a bluegrass documentary. I cant remember the name of it. I think it was made in the late 80's. It might even been about Bill Monroe. I remember this one song REALLY turned me on to Ms. Krauss and her sound.

I saw Alison for the first time at the Newport Folk Festival 1986. Her first album (for Rounder) was due soon. I was on my way to the Rounder concession stand and we met there. Small talk. Then I asked her to autograph a one page PEOPLE magazine article with a nice large photo of her playing fiddle in a corn field. I watched her walk back (alone) to the stage area and a kid came up (brother?) and grabbed her arm and pretended to throw her to the ground (ouch!). One of the classic performers.
