Donovan was well respected by and hung out with the Beatles in the 1960s.I loved this record since it first came out. Really far out, groovy and heavy back then. Loved many more Donovan songs along the way as I heard them on AM radio along with the other great British groups back then even though I was in Montreal. I feel that this was an Acid Rock song before Acid Rock even started, wow! Yes Jimmy Page was playing the electric guitar on this and John Bonham is on drums before they formed Led Zeppelin. I think I had this as a 45 RPM at one point. Still have all the 450 LPs that I started buying in the 1960s and kept them all and have half of the top classic rock LPs in the top 100. Long live Rock n Roll. Still have enjoyed and loved many more groups in each year from the 1960s up until now 2018. So great music is still being created however now you have access to millions of great pop and rock songs of the last 60 years. I saw Donovan and the Beatles and the other great British and US groups on the Ed Sullivan show in the 1960s, thankfully. Support the artists and songwriters by buying the music instead of riping them off by downloading illigally. I have the original discs and cds and cassettes and don't listen to cheap sounding compressed music, which sounds lousy like am radio back in the 1960s. Real quality sound has great harmonics and dynamic range and clarity which mp3 quality doesn't it only has a part of the music in it so it is a smaller file size but you lose quality, which you could notice right away with quality headphones or speakers. I have JBL Studio Monitors with a 12" woofer and 3 way components, wow what a trip, what a sound with quality listening equipment, get some quality headphones or speakers yourself for a night and day boost in your listening pleasure.
