Oh please! Stop this nonsense already. So you mean to tell me that if someone gets inspiration that they hone into a very similar style from an artist they adore, they should be accused of plagiarism? I was once called the Alvin Lee Of Herricks High School and NEVER got sued because I very closely emulated Alvin's singing AND playing style; "Going Home" a favorite which I had won more than one battle of the bands back in the late sixties. The first time I saw this man play he rocked my world along with Jeff Beck who's style I also copied best I could. If anything, I would hope that sounding similar to Mick Jagger might finally put Don Covay on the map as he so rightfully deserves. I for one never heard of him before this post and think he has it! After the Beatles Anthology came out they once asked Pete Best if he is eternally pissed because The Beatles tossed him for Ringo. He was like; "Heck no!" and explained that since they put him on the anthology for the meager few recorded songs he played on comparison to Ringo, that the royalties he received (the relative mounting nickles and dimes) let him and his family live without any financial troubles forever more. History weaves a mysterious web. I don't look at this as Mick stealing anything! And the fact is, the phenomenal ever enduring success of The Rolling Stones can only help this very talented if heretofore obscure hero of Sir Mick Jagger. Just my two cents
