I was going to ask who the heck is Henson Cargill? so I looked him up. A country singer from the late sixties and seventies. I was never a big Country fan and I spent most of those years overseas in the army. I don't remember him ever being played on AFN. I got him on YT and he is pretty good.

This was always one of my favorite songs that my dad recorded. I remember that he was on of those rare performers that would listen to his own music. This reminds me of many a road trip! I love you Daddy!

@suprsnips Yes he was one of the best but few noticed it. his "Mona Lisa" where he made only $25 to record was the best version of that song and hi name wasn't even on the oginal record.

One of the best singers ever, and never appreciated. Best version ever of this song, I used to listen to it a lot when I was driving big rigs across country.
