Charted at #22 on Billboard Hot 100 in July 1956. Original Billboard review: "Don Cherry delivers a sock vocal on a haunting, lilting ballad, with clever lyrics and attractive backing. The warbler clicked big with "Band of Gold" a few months ago, and this one could be another chart-maker for him." Written by Nick Acquaviva and Ted Varnick. Nick was the husband of Joni James and wrote many of her hits.

B-side is "I'll Be Around" which charted at #78 and I've also posted.

Great song. I remember it well. Didn't Don Cherry give up his singing career to try to make the PGA tour?

@CatsPjamas, Thanks for the reply. The song is a track on Don's Album/CD "Swinging for Two" if you have it! Someone posted it a few years ago, but recently removed it. Many thanks, really enjoy the music & looking forward to more from the 1950's.

Thanks for this great Don Cherry song! By the way, could you post Don's version of "Please Be Kind" sometime if you have it?
