Let's mention the composer's full name too: Howard Hoagland Carmichael = "Hoagy Carmichael". He was an ardent jazz fan and musician, and he recorded it himself too, as did many others before Ray Charles. How anyone can imagine that the original or definitive version of this song belongs to Ray Charles... well that just defeats me. Perhaps this is a good time to suggest to all non-jazz experts that they do some more research on the wonderful world of jazz music before making silly comments.
