Therealmensa has their facts wrong. The chicks are doing a Canadaian tour...I will be seeing them in Vancourver a venue that holds 26 thousand people and that sold all but nosebleed seats in 15 mins. They prefer to play in Canada because of people like the real mensa who are uninformed and hostile for absolutely no reason. This song has a beautiful message no matter who sings it...it is unfortunate that is lost on some people. God Bless the Dixie Chicks for their beautiful message.

@hannahzep Yes, we are allowed to do it in America, they, however, were not on our own soil. To me that was the only thing that was wrong, not that they said it, but where they said it. If in America, say anything you wish, Our men and women across the seas provide that for us HERE, not there.

i will always love the Dixie Chicks. We live in the LAND of THE FREE and that includes our speech. We have to remember that they was not the ones that sent us overthere in the first place. they was just say what some of the AMERICANS thought. im not a political person but i do believe in our rights.

Where are the many covers of this song that should be made??? I can hear any number of artists doing this in different ways: Otis Redding, the Black Crowes, Sam Cooke, and most of all the True Love Baptist Church on Sunday morning.....

I never think war or hate is the answer; it leaves you in the same place as the people who want to start something. I love the Dixie Chicks and have for a long time.
