Anyone that claims that auto tuning was used here hasn't the faintest clue how auto tune is used and has never stepped foot in a studio or used a DAW (midi workshops like FruitLoops don't count).Yes, Disturbed (David, rather) covered a song known and loved by many generations but don't act surprised that they show talent immediately recognizable by many listeners. Go back to 2002 when their album Believe came out. Listen to the last song on the track list called Darkness. They play softer stuff that others (referring to people that don't follow them or their style of music) don't generally know about.What people are caught unaware of here is that, shockingly, he can sing! No way! Would you be surprised if the drummer sat down and played Mozart on the paino? Or if the guitarist played Bach?They are good at what they do. But I won't deny that they use a professional recording engineer, top-dollar equipment, and enough takes to make it sound like you see it here. It's just the nature of the beast. But that being said, auto tune was NOT used here at all. He just has a good vocal range.

I really enjoy the cover. I might even dare to say I like it more? But to the few that are comparing these two amazing songs and saying the new version isn't as well made...Well the Disturbed version tells a different story than the original, to say one is better, isn't quite fair.The original is the story of a man who has seen much in his life, has come to terms with it, and finds himself better for the experience. It is his chronicle of events. The Disturbed version however is the broken last cries of a man for whom these events still burn bright on his conscious. His last desperate call to arms.
