People, we don't have to be on a mission to destroy the Earth. They say this is caused by human activity, but we are smart and we can organize. Humans can also make positive contributions to maintaining the health of Life on Earth directly through their activities! Environmentalists have been pushing recycling for decades, but people just turn a deaf ear to them. I've heard them disparaged as "Enviro-wackos" by people that like pollution and cancer. It isn't the no one is listening, just not enough people are listening or even hearing. And now there is a patch of garbage plastics in the middle of the ocean as large as Texas were all kinds of fish is trapped or poisoned.We need to be real about becoming energy efficient. Go out and buy some LED replacement lights right now. They use about 1/4th of the electricity Fluorescent lights do for the same light output, do not use Mercury and can last for twenty years! Oh and they don't dim before burning out so the light output remains strong the whole time the bulb is working.There are literally dozens of small but effective ways we all can help our Mother Earth out. Do you have to set your thermometer that high? Do you leave lights on all night long? There are so many things we can all do to make us humans more efficient i.e. less damaging to the Earth.
