@HolographicSpace Scar Symmetry are not gods. The only bands you could call the "gods" of melodic death are probably (old) In Flames and Dark Tranquillity. You could throw At the Gates in there too. Never mind the fact that so many bands who never reached their status are much better than SS (Eucharist). Also in the current landscape "melodic death" or a gothenburg style is inching ever close to becoming metalcore; in fact this very song uses elements of that genre.
