Finally came back to my first impressions of dirty beaches. a lot of water flowed and a lot of time has passed and when i come back listenning to this after hearing the last of this soundsmith, i know it is going into a fine place, and i want to hear this future. these dirty beaches were made for travelling and that what they'll do it seems, and minds, spirits, souls will follow, we'll follow.

I find this guy's stuff interesting. some think it's a shame he took a hip hop influenced perspective on his rock and roll with the samples, but fuck it. It's good. what's wrong with sounding like suicide??

obviously this rips off suicide massively but when its done this well who really cares - all bands are a ripoff of something somewhere down the line - don't get me wrong i hate Kings of Leon as much as the next man but this is trustworthy minimalism!
