Dion lives in Boca Raton, Fla. not far from where I am. I've been to his house on a few occasions and had the opportunity to tell him what his music meant to me. This particular song was pretty neat because I was dating a girl named Diane at the time, although she was nothing like the Diane in this song. Dion is a very nice gentleman who still performs occasionally. His wife, Sue, is equally as nice and will tell you that she is Runaround Sue - but with a mischievous wink in her eye. Dion once asked her why she said that and she replied that everyone would remember her name with that story. They've been together a very long time.

Thanks for posting! I thought I remembered a song named "Diane" from the 60s, but I always came up with the much more popular "Diana" when I looked for it. I always liked this song better.
