It's about changing the human heart to be the way people were originaly intended to be: working together in common for everyone's benefit, not conquest and murder. This song addresses the wrong use of religion altogether. He addresses the manipulation of truth. It doesn't really have anything to do with historical facts. For example, the concept of "Oneness" in contemporary philosophy is used similarly. Power is very interested in controlling religious/spiritual belief. If we just allowed power to walk all over us, we wouldn't have the 8 hour workday for example. Real spirituality/truth is innate in each of us. We know what it is inside.
