Diana Ross opened the final night of her nine day residency with a familiar song that managed to fill the air with uninhibited screams and passion from both visitors who were seeing her for the first time and from die-hard fans who you would have thought would be asking for a mercy kill from hearing this song more than you can count on both hands in one month! But not tonight! Everyone was excited to be here. It was a successful run in Las Vegas with all nine shows selling out! I was fortunate to buy a seat on the aisleway months before, where I had anticipated she would be walking thru on her way to the stage while singing "I'm Coming Out" a familiar and popular entranceway that disappeared from her concerts in recent years but revived in her appearance at the opening of King's Theater in Brooklyn NY earlier in the year. The opening sequenced was shot the night before and I got a great shot of her coming down the aisleway also but Friday's night down those steps was clearing and closer than I imagined, so I merged the two performances together.
