Gorgeous track written, composed, produced and played (bass) by Bernard Edwards (RIP) from the 1984 LP "Swept away". Nile Rodgers guitar and Tony Thompson drums of CHIC performed too.

The late George Howard did a version of this song as well, except the sax replaced vocals....hard to pick which one is the best. Background vocals was still there though.....

Actually, RCA released an 8 song compilation on Diana in 1992 and the edited version of "Telephone" was included. The collection was called "Endless Love" and contained 2 of Ross's Top 20 pop hits from her RCA years ("Muscles" & "Swept Away") along with other album cuts. The cd is out of print.

it was indeed and as a whopping diana fan, of course i know this. my message read it was a chart hit here in australia in 1980. so it must have been released as a single a bit later here. anyways , its my house got into the top 20 here.

I'm so sick of the BS played today! I'm only 3 years old and I love this music. And I'd like to thank Sesame Street for teaching how to spell and form proper sentences

This song makes me go out of my mind!!!! I Love this! It came out on her "Swept Away" album; It was released 28 days before I was born in 1984. This song was released the year I turned one. I love Classics & this is one of them. Go Head On Diana!

@BryanOQuinnTV it's my house charted in australia in 1980. diana had a few hits here in 1980...upside down and it's my house, i'm coming out among them. also had a hit with my old piano but i think that may have been in 1981.

Ok… Wow, I bet that was a good concert! -- You have great taste in music @gmccall22 … Although it was released and charted in 1979 I suppose we could kind of call “The Boss” 80’s Music … but I always think of diana* Upside-Down - I’m Coming Out "Friend To Friend" as (1980) Ross but I feel you . thanks for the comment - This track is very memorable to me as well... I saw her perform live Telephone and Eaten alive the same night in 1986 - she must have liked Telephone too 1984-1986
