Last one. You have the complete video. I hope everyone enjoyed the series. I wanted to share. I knew alot of Danny fans are unaware of it and it's out of print.

I had never heard of him either until now (these vids). I wondered why someone this good wasn't more well-known but seeing your comments I suppose he was known and respected. I don't even like the type of music he plays (blues, rockabilly) and even I find Most of the techniques he shows to be so interesting and awesome that I am learning most of them to incorporate into my catalog of techniques!! There is some golden stuff here!! You don't have to even like the style of music but anyone who can't appreciate at least some of these techniques is really missing out!! It's important for those of us who can to learn and play these kinda things in order to keep such amazing techniques alive in the next generations to come!! One of the best guitar instructional videos I have ever seen (and that includes stuff from Everyone of Every style)!! Most videos just care about sellin people the videos based on the fame of the name of the person doing them and they are typically devoid of ANY useful, impressive or even practical techniques....usually just a bunch of flashy yet unusable and pointless little "licks" that are not really meant to help anyone actually improve or learn!! But this guy's video is truly useful and amazing!!!

By far and away one of the scariest pickets to ever touch the guitar. He really had a joy for it, and kept moving forward mistake (and there were very few) and all. It showed that he really was playing totally off the cuff at all times. Danny, I never knew ya, but your with me every time I play. Thanks for everything you did! RIP.

@Thm46: Danny once sort of admitted he'd be hard-pressed to play heavy metal, and I never saw him play legit classical guitar - but I bet he could have faked it well. Other than that, the guy could play pretty much whatever he pleased. I miss you, Danny... RIP.

Yes, Danny scares us all. He is the monster of all monsters. Don't even go there.....we'll NEVER, EVER come near him........none of us.......Ask Clapton, Beck, Page, Holdsworth, Carlos, doesn't mater.....whom ever you think is the best. They'll all tell you. Danny was, as Neil Young put it...."in a different building."

Thank you so much for posting this video, it was such a tragedy when he committed suicide I cannot for the life of me understand why he didn't got more famous and made a good fortune out of his playing. It just shows there are no justice in this world. And then other so called artists make so much money it's crazy. Danny Gatton, you gotta define your musical experience pre-gatton and post-gatton :) TeleMaster!!!

i love the fact that during some of these vids they haven't edited out the couple of mistakes he makes, like when the amp goes wrong, and he makes no bones about them!it shows he was human, superhuman maybe, but still human and capable of a mistake or two and thats what it's all about!fantastic, and i wouldn't mind making a couple of mistakes to play like he could!

I'd never heard of him till finding these videos on YouTube. He is the most amazing guitar talent I've encountered. Off to find some of his recordings....thanks for putting this up.

4engle. Thanks for posting this. Just been Watching part 1-9. Knew he was very skilled, but this was ??? WOOW. Very inspiring. Got my tele, half way through, sort of, had to. (Not that I'll ever reach as "high as his hips, or maybe knees" for that matter) Can't tell much about a person, just watching a few video clips, but I'm left with the impression that he had a nice and warm personality, as well. Those "small" comments, made me laugh quite a few times.
