Hey all

This is a very simple remix. As soon as I heard the music trailer right away I thought "man if this song had a bass kick going it would turn into some dance beat right off the bat"

And thats what I did. I agree the drum work could use a little hype but again, its a simple remix. Plus I had some original transition effects near the end. Which took me some time to figure out. Also in the chorus section I added some synth...

I actually did. I said that this was monotonic. I cant tell him what to do exactly, because everyone creates music differently in his head. what I can say is, play around more, shuffle that shit till you drop dead and play around a bit with bitcrush (it's kinda modern.. everyone does it .__.) ... oh yeah, with shuffle I mean stuf like DJ Shadow does with drum beats, or like linkin park did in their early days. also use more complex drums, like i said, that single bassdrum is booooring...

in my answer to mrneyus i was beeing very honest about my opinion. I was congratulating him to making this, that was absolutely honest, because I suck at remixing. but in my opinion, matching the beat with a bassdrum isn't very interresting on it's own. my only accomplishment in remixing is when I sample beats for hiphop stuff.. he just put some filters on at some spots and then added this monotonic basedrum. sure it's danceable, but it sounds so damn boring and adds nearly nothing to the original... except for that friggin basedrum... if you want an example of a good remix, take a look at the song from the Shootmania trailer. PS: nearly all mainstream club music sounds JUST like this. and that's why it's nothing special in my eyes.

I understand that. I have been making "kinda triphop" for a few years now, my first stuff sucks, to be honest :D I didn't want to sound sarcastic. To make a remix of something by sampling parts of it is actually very hard and time consuming to get right... so that congrats were actually honest congrats... but this is way to monotonic... :D
