Finnish death metal. From the album, "Nespithe". Released in 1993 by Necropolis.

About as weird as Finnish death metal can get. Demilich abandons all semblance of conventional melody and harmony in return for incredibly fucked up dual riffs. The vocals on this record are the best belching vocals you'll ever hear, and way better than all those slam/deathcore vocalists we see nowadays. Funfact: The title of this album - Nespithe, Ne spi the, the spi ne, The Spine!

Track 9 - The Planet That Once Used to Absorb Flesh in Order to Achieve Divinity and Immortality (Suffocated to the Flesh That It Desired...)

A silent forsaken planet

It's pores full of flesh

It once used to be alive

Now dead, condemned to loneliness

Lying in space, completely alone

Covered with tons and tons of piles of bone

The former master of the Universe and

its stars

The former master died its cover full of scars

Its core has gotten cool

The greed has shown fatality

No more absorbing, no consuming

It will never reach immortality

Portuguese: "A Planeta Que Antigamente Absorveu Carne Para Alcançar Divinidade e Imortalidade (Sufocada á Carne que Desejava...)".

The Spanish translation would be "El planeta que antiguamente solía absorber carne con tal de conseguir divinidad e inmortalidad (asfixiado por la carne que deseaba...)".

@Rhademanthus I believe the imperfect tense will satisfy "used to" on its own. "absorbebat carnem" should be equivalent to "used to absorb flesh".

@Rhademanthus My Latin isn't the best but it looks like you're on the right track there.

SOMEBOY CORRECT THIS Planeta, ut quondam solebant, carnis absorbet, ut divinitatem et immortalitatem perveniamus, caro erat suffocari desideratur.
