What a GREAT song this was! Also, a BIG RADIO hit for them! The #1 Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks song for 3 weeks (Billboard)! They should have had MANY more since then ('99)! Regardless...the music is still GREAT!

Pretty sure I heard Joe Elliott say in an interview that Promises is one of the 3 songs they did with Mutt Lange on Euphoria. Def Leppard plus Mutt Lange equals gold. So wonderful. Love DL. Saw them in July 2014 at the Los Angeles Forum. Did VIP tix, got to meet the band. They were amazing. Favorite band since 1983, when I was 13.
