The first time a friend played me this song, I'll admit, I asked, "Is this The Strokes?" But I now realize the two bands are nothing alike, and I have come to love Deerhunter for being just that—Deerhunter.

The Strokes are not like Deerhunter. The two bands might have similarities, but if you've listened to Deerhunter's albums, you wouldn't make that comment. I'm a huge Strokes and Deerhunter-fan, but they are two different worlds to me. Two different levels, but amazing bands both. The Arctic Monkeys-reference beneath is even more wrong than The Strokes-comparison.

Not Radiohead, not at all. To me it's The Strokes + Artic Monkeys. You'd have to be fuckin' tonedeaf to think this band doesn't sound similar to them.
