Harrison does 90% of the lead work - sounded great! When Harrison jams with other great guitarist: Clapton, Dave Mason, Tom Petty, etc...he really proves he can hit the axe, man!

Geez people....quit with the "he's better / no he's better" nonsense. Listen...you don't get to this level without being a bad mofo who has paid nite after lonely nite of dues in crummy little smoke-filled clubs all thru the wee hours for next to no money at all....and sticking with that for years until you achieve your chops. Any of these guys you see here can blaze...you'd best believe it. At least that's how we sunburnt Arizonans feel about the matter.

I was at this concert in 1984. It was the Perfect Strangers tour from memory. Gillian announced that DP had a competition for a random person to get up on stage with them to have a jam. Gillian then said the winner is a "George from Liverpool." There is a suburb in the outer west of Sydney also called Liverpool and me & me mates presumed it was some lucky dude from that area? Anyway it wasn't till I read the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald the next morning that we actually witnessed ex Beatle George Harrison on stage with Deep Purple. To be honest I think a lot people there that night thought the same thing....

What a great moment that was. . Un grand plaisir à voir. DP has played Lucille steadily has an encore until the end of the 70's mkII but they used to be far more heavy and fast than this time (hear that on In Concert and Live In Japan)I really wish that we had that on high audio and video quality.
