My grandfather was an "End Man" in the minstrel shows in the 1920's and sang this same song, for many years after his "Show Biz" days. But his lyrics were "Funny Eyes" instead of "Naughty Eyes." I don't know whether he cleaned it up for his audience, or if Martin and Lewis changed it for their audience.
