Im a fan of both DLC and the Vool.... I saw Karnivool a fortnight ago and listened to Assymetry half a dozen times all the way thru b4 that... and i was still trying to digest it as a whole.... So the gig was in a big club (sold out) and was the last show of that tour and was there hometown Perth... and sweet fucking jesus by the end of the gig it was the new songs that blew my mind... Wall of sound!! The lads are at the next level! If u can, see them live and the new album will make sense

I just wish all bands would release 2 versions of albums: one featuring the songs for purists who need to hear an album exactly as a band intended & then one featuring every song for the completists who want the entire work included in one complete, uncensored package. However, Im still very thankful that 'Wake Up' will be a bonus track on the North American release of this album, so Ill happily buy it on 10/29. Ill just have to pretend the other 3 songs dont exist. Maybe on a future album... ;)

Gotta agree with this. It serves as a good bridge between This is the Warning and The Catalyst Fire. Kind of a "where we left off" song. Loving The Catalyst Fire! Definitely digging what Clint and Tom brought to the table; DLC's still got that beautiful, ethereal sound, but now it's a lot more energetic and lively. Would love to see a bunch of the new songs live when y'all come to the US!

I put Wake Up in my Catalyst Fire playlist as track #1. For me it works thematically that way :p

Hey guys, I just wanted to clear up why this song didn't make the album. It just didn't fit thematically for me next to the other songs. The Catalyst Fire is the next chapter lyrically in the story we are telling. It's for those already awakened and aware of the true mechanics of the world. FYI .. We actually recorded 14 songs for Album, and thinned them down to the 11 we felt conveyed the right message. I hope you guys are digging The Catalyst Fire. Kim- Dead Letter

Actually I live in Finland, but the stream from The Music.Au is working via Google Chrome or Mozilla Forefox. You just have to add Hola to your web browser. It worked for me :) There isn't so many days left though :P

Ahh great news! Your comment about the Catalsyt Fire album was the happiest thing I've heard today. Very glad to hear this from another fan. Can't wait till the 11th when I can finally hear it! ( you must live in Australia, they had it streaming for you guys the other day! )

Asymmetry was really confusing indeed. There were many very good songs but many not-so-great songs also. I listened The Catalyst Fire today in its entirety and I loved it. It was simply pure love.

After hearing Karnivool's confusing new album ( i wanted to love it ) let's hope Dead Letter Circus does not disappoint. Who am I kidding, new DLC will rule!

To me, its exactly the same as having chapters ripped out of a book. I see no problem with the issue as to why bands can not include the "unworthy songs" at the end of an album. Or else releasing two versions of the album. One for the purists who need to hear the album exactly as the band intended & another that includes all the cut b-sides for us completists who want to hear & have everything so there is no risk of our favorite songs being left out & thus ruining the album.
