For all you people who can only reflect on the negative I say......................FUCK OFF!!!!!! Davy admitted that he smoked weed in the 60's and had a bit of a go with booze in his 30's, but we was NOT an abuser. An abuser is someone who uses substances as their lifeline which Davy did not do, but unfortunately, Whitney and Amy DID. Davy was clean and sobr when he died. If ANY of you did your FUCKING homework, you would know that there is history of heart disease throughout his whole family.

I can't believe he's gone either. I wasn't around when he wad popular the first time around. I only got to know of him just over 20 years ago, when I was a teenager. I started watching Monkees reruns and loved every moment of it. Davy of course, was my all time favorite. Oh, if only I could have met him. I think that would have been so neat!!!

You can't believe everything you read. Davy himself said he did the booze and women in his thirties. He was clean as a whistle when he died. Besides, lots of people battle demons and don't turn to drugs or alcohol because of them. I have no use or sympathy for those who do. They just use them as an excuse so they don't have to deal with their problems.

The good thing was that Davy didn't die a drug addict as so many other stars have done. He basically died doing what he loved to do.

Mike and Peter. Davy and Micky told them to go along and do what they were told, to look at it as a job. Then they were able to swing Davy around. I blame Mike and Peter for that. Micky and Davy had the acting background and saw it for what it was: a job but Mike and Peter the musicians didn't. I don't blame them for wanting to play their own instruments and having a say in the songs. But they shot themselves in the foot by gaining full control.
