Years ago when the 3 strikes law was first put in effect I heard a real news story that I remembered when I heard this. A 91 year old blind woman was arrested for stealing a can of dog food from a store shelf. It was her third arrest and she hot 25 to life. She didn't have a dog.

he was a mirror. for some reason he could channel whatever he wanted to seemingly on demand. At his prime he was able to do this effortlessly, I mean for a solid decade he was pretty much on the cutting edge. I think Space Oddity is the first album where he started to find his songwriting voice.

I always loved this song and found it pleasant....until one day Mum told me in the car she wanted this played at her funeral.....THANKS FOR THAT IMAGE MUM!!! However good song choice! =)

this is truely literature in a song... girl with the matchsticks... living in about THE richest country in world, people tend to easily forget how harsh things can be(come) when/once you really 've got nothing, & tend to look the other way (to me, the word cashmachines still sounds just as accurate, paints the picture perfectly even when they might not be as noisy, or standing on counters like in the 60s)

My mum & dad don't listen to David Bowie or any other 70s/80s music, infact my dad generally listens to chart music and techno etc, and he's almost 65

I think the difference is, that as you grow older, you may well find yourself in a position like this, whereras at 13 years of age, you are probably still looked after by mum and dad.....x
