Ok guys, I dont think he's saying daughters need special treatment more than sons...he's just saying that, yes, as a father, you do need to treat your daughter super special, in a way to show her how her future husband should be. nd he's not saying that sons dont need their father's love just as much. That's just not the topic of THIS song, THIS song happens to be about daughters. He couldve written about how sons need their dad, but that's not what was on his heart at the time.
